Dear Colleagues

I would like to announce that there will be a Memorial Service for Peter Rowell at the Royal Society in London starting at 15:00 on Thursday 13 October 2011.

Now that the shock of Peter’s death is a little less raw, we will hold a Memorial Service as a celebration of his life, particularly his professional life and the impact he had on friends, colleagues and acquaintances who worked with him or were influenced by him. We hope that you are able to join us at this memorial event so that we can share our thoughts and express our appreciation for the life and work of Peter, an extraordinary person.

The program for the event will be:

15:00 Arrival of guests
15:30 Celebration of Peter Rowell’s life
16:30 Tea
18:00 Departure of guests

Peter’s family has set up a fund for donations to leukaemia and lymphoma research.
