June 2011 - Monthly Briefing
Acquisitions in June involving European technology companies continued at about the same level as the previous month. The combined value of deals in the month was $17.4 billion. The deal value curve fell significantly in June as the AT&T acquisition of T-Mobile USA for $39 billion in March dropped out of the rolling three month analysis. Valuation multiples held steady with the median P/E ratio at 18.0 and the median P/S ratio at 1.3.
