Robert has a degree in Mathematics and Law from Cambridge, is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from INSEAD in France.
After INSEAD, Robert was recruited by Deutsche Morgan Grenfell to join its Corporate Finance Department.
From there, he joined the Corporate Finance Department of JP Morgan Flemings, where he was responsible for structuring, negotiating and
executing UK and international M&A and capital raising transactions,
working for clients such as Deutsche Telekom, TeleWest, Comcast, DCS Group, Kode and Pegasus.
Robert joined Regent in 2000 as a Director.
He has been responsible for a wide range of transactions since joining Regent,
including
- the £20 million disposal on behalf of Groupe Bull S.A. of Cara Group of Ireland,
- the sale of City Consultants Limited, a specialist management consultancy, to Altran Group of France,
- the sale of KPOS, a retail solutions specialist, to Torex Retail plc,
- the sale of Safe Computing, a payroll and HR solutions provider, to an MBO,
- the acquisition, through a £56 million public takeover offer, of AttentiV plc, a financial services solutions provider, by TietoEnator of Finland in 2005
- and, most recently, the sales of ROOM Solutions, a financial services solutions provider, to NIIT of India,
- Mantix, a specialist management consultancy, to WS Atkins plc,
- Real Time Engineering Limited, a specialist solutions provider, to Sword Group of France,
- Touchbase’s Avaya solutions division to Datapoint
- and Investmaster, a financial software provider, to e-Burns Commerce.
