Mr Reed specializes in the technology industry and is active in all areas of investment banking, with a primary emphasis on acquisitions, divestitures and capital raising. In addition, he has performed valuations of closely held businesses for divestiture and merger purposes.

Prior to Fairmount, David was a Director with Investec and its predecessor PMG Capital. In addition, he was a Vice President with First Union Capital Markets. He began his career at Philadelphia National Bank as a commercial lender, providing buyout and expansion financing to a diverse range of manufacturing and service businesses.

David graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and minors in Finance and History. He is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA).
