Rentabiliweb, a Belgian online website services provider, has acquired Vidalia Group, a French telecoms operator and 'Business-to-Machine' (B-to-M) specialist, for €3.2 million (£2.6 million).
Active since 2004, Vidalia designs and provides online services that enable firms to remotely access information and exchange data, working in the B-to-M, multichannel, 0800 numbers, IP telephony and software-as-a-service areas.
B-to-M means the ability to enable electronic equipment to exchange data with other machines.
In 2010, Vidalia is expected to achieve sales of €5.1 million.
Separate to the core terms of the deal, Vidalia will receive a second cash payment based on operating results for 2011.
"Rentabiliweb has managed to establish its "one-stop" monetization services on the B-to-B market," explained Corinne Chatal, vice-president of the firm.
"With Vidalia, the group is extending its services into the fast-growing B-to-M monetization market, in which billions of machines and sensors are and will in the future be interconnected via telecoms networks, without any human assistance."
Recently, France Telecom, the country's biggest telecoms provider, signed a deal with Ethio Telecom to help manage the network for the next two years.
