Global IT services provider Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE) has announced it will acquire Protege Software Services.
According to CTE, the acquisition will cement the firm's role as a "one-stop shop" for mid-market businesses and could strengthen the company's presence in the eastern United States.
"This is another pearl in our collection of expertise and technologies to service the huge market opportunities emerging from SOA (service oriented architecture) transformation requirements and needs globally," said Bhaskar Panigrahi, chief executive officer of CTE.
He added that Protege Software Services' experience with Fusion Middleware and Oracle ERP technologies will combine well with the company's existing expertise.
CTE's Centre of Innovation is located in Cambridge Massachusetts, where it brings together its global services, business expertise and technology-thought leadership.
The firm offers services across a number of sectors, including food and beverage, banking, financial services, retail and merchandising, education, government, business service, mobile and wireless.
