Airclic, a mobile supply chain software provider, is to merge with AirVersent, a software firm that specialises in improving supply chain workflow.
The new company will operate under the name Airclic as AirVersent is incorporated into it.
It will continue to provide Software as a Service (SaaS)-based products that support global mobile supply chain and logistics operations.
The merged entity now boasts over 270 global customers and will look to cement its position in the industry with increased domain expertise, technology patents and a channel program partner.
Rick Pontin, chief executive officer of Airclic, welcomed the merger.
He said: "Our merger represents the union of two powerhouses in the mobile software industry that have a shared commitment to address the exploding mobile supply chain and logistics needs of enterprises both large and small."
Michael Lee, AirVersent's chief executive officer, will become president of the new company.
In the past Airclic has had merger interest from Motorola and Symbol Technologies.
