Dutch software business UNIT 4 is increasing its offer for Poland's Teta, it has been reported.
The business software firm UNIT 4 has raised its offer for the Polish IT company from 11.75 zlotys (£2.30) to 14 zlotys (£2.75) a share in the wake of a rival bid from British accountancy software firm Sage, according to Reuters.
Teta, a business software and IT provider for companies in Poland and Hungary, would be valued at 165.6 million zlotys (£32.5 million) if the deal is accepted.
The news follows the announcement by UNIT 4 that its UK arm, UNIT 4 Business Software, has agreed a strategic partnership agreement with spend control and electronic procurement (eProcurement) firm PROACTIS.
A core element of the deal is to provide the PROACTIS suite of enterprise level eProcurement solutions to current and prospective UNIT4 customers.
Commenting on the partnership, chief executive officer of PROACTIS Rod Jones said: "This announcement could not have come at a better time.
"Companies around the world are trying to streamline their procure-to-pay operations while keeping up best practices and maintaining access to the highest quality financial data."
