Distinct Consulting, the Dublin-based telecoms consultancy and business solutions firm, has agreed a merger deal with the Australian firm WDScott Group.
Both businesses have a significant presence beyond their home countries and it is expected the deal will mean both firms will be able grow further without affecting their current clients.
In a statement, Distinct said it will offer WDScott clients expertise in the design and implementation of intelligence and analytics-based solutions.
Meanwhile WDScott will bring additional expertise and solutions in the strategic design, process modelling, management and process re-engineering arena to Distinct Consulting customers.
"We have a very set direction to take for the next three-to five years," Distinct founder and managing director David Power, who will head up joint expansion into the US, told the Sunday Business Post.
"We are all material shareholders in the business and we all want to do the best we can for the share price."
WDScott grew to be Australia's largest international management consulting firm after being founded in 1938 by Sir Walter Scott.
