Dot Com Infoway (DCI), an Indian information technology and mobile applications firm, has announced that it plans to expand this year through the strategic acquisitions of US and Europe-based mobile development start-ups.
Top officials from the company said that its goals for 2010 include introducing new channels to market mobile applications, selling existing software product lines and internet marketing services, and acquiring complementary businesses.
DCI's acquisition strategy will target companies with synergetic technology that enhances its mobile application product offering and marketing channels.
Mr C R Venkatesh, chief executive of DCI, said that the firm is currently undertaking due diligence on a number of candidates from Oceania but expects to extend its reach in the coming year.
"Specifically, DCI is seeking profitable North American Mobile development companies with an acceptable turn-over," he added.
The offshore software development and web solutions firm is itself the result of a merger between software giants GNG Internet and CRV Infotech.
