GPS company Trimble has acquired LET Systems, a provider of incident and outage management system solutions for utilities based in Cork, Ireland, for an undisclosed amount.
LET Systems' eRespond software platform provides utilities with the tools they need to improve network reliability and efficiency as well as reducing the cost of day-to-day operations.
The platform also supports business processes, including trouble call management, fault identification and telemetry.
Katherine Sandford, general manager for Trimble's Utilities Field Solutions business, said that the acquisition will strengthen its product portfolio by adding scalable incident and outage management capabilities.
"Innovative technology is transforming the way utilities are planned, managed, built and maintained," she added.
"LET Systems and the eRespond smart grid OMS solution provide utility customers [with] the tools to save time and cost to improve decision making."
In January, Trimble acquired Pondera Engineers Assets, an Idaho-based engineering and software development company specialising in high-voltage power transmission and distribution lines.
