Hosted Data Transaction Solutions (HDX) has announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Posera, the developer of restaurant point of sale software operating in the US, Canada, France, Singapore and the UK.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but HDX has marketed and deployed solutions primarily in the Canadian quick service restaurant sector and it is believed the acquisition would strategically benefit its market penetration.
Paul Howell, president and chief executive operator of HDX, said: "The team at Posera has built a successful and well respected company.
"Posera has developed a strong web presence and a global reseller network."
It is hoped that the combined global scope will give HDX an advantage when bidding on new business and will enhance relationships where it currently provides point of sale solutions.
HDX last month moved to acquire Cash N Go, which operates a network of automated telling machines in Canada.
