Data security company SafeNet has announced that it has acquired Assured Decisions, which provides professional consulting services.

"The unique expertise brought to SafeNet by Assured Decisions enables us to expand our solutions that protect the data within the US government's cyber space," commented Chris Fedde, SafeNet's president and chief operating officer.

He said that Assured Decisions' offerings complement SafeNet's solutions for government and commercial customers.

Edward Sheehan, managing member and president of Assured Decisions, said that his organisation was pleased to be joining SafeNet, which he described as a top information security company.

He reported that SafeNet is planning to use Assured Decisions' MDeX product, which is used by organisations with high assurance data transfer needs to exchange information between departments, agencies and allies safely and at speed.

Earlier this year, SafeNet set up an office in Dubai, expanding its global presence of 26 offices and over 25,000 customers in 100 countries.ADNFCR-1833-ID-19531495-ADNFCR
