AFS Technologies, a provider of enterprise software solutions to the food and beverage industry, has acquired certain assets of Softrax Corporation, which delivers enterprise revenue management and billing software.
The acquisition, which was made for an undisclosed cash sum, is the first phase of a planned series of expansions by AFS to broaden its enterprise technology platform and software-as-a-service offerings into new industry sectors.
Following the deal, AFS' Financial Statements and Business Intelligence solutions will be integrated with Softrax's Billing and Revenue Management capabilities by its software development facility in Bangalore, India.
"AFS's technology platform and modular solutions will enable us to offer an improved and broader range of integrated solutions to these markets," commented Jay Waldron, vice-president of Softrax.
In October, AFS completed the acquisition of Becton Schantz, a provider of integrated administrative solutions for sales agencies based in the retail, consumer products and food service markets.
