Global telecoms firm Viper Networks has announced that it has successfully finalised an acquisition merger with its joint venture partner Cirilium India, a communications provider with a multi-protocol IP infrastructure.
The transaction agreement, when completed, will provide Viper with the exclusive franchise rights with Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL), the seventh-largest telecoms company in the world with 49 million customers globally.
Exclusive rights will allow Viper to offer a broad range of national and international telecoms services, including VoIP, calling cards and pinless accounts.
"From our exclusive rights with BSNL alone, significantly increased sales have already begun," commented Tom Otrok, president of international operations at BNSL.
"By confirming these initial sales numbers, we are now projecting approximately 250,000 new customers by the end of this year."
San Francisco-based Viper Networks announced a sales and distribution agreement with Globalcom Information Services, an Asia-Pacific Infocomm service provider, in August.
