A trans-continental merger involving Beijing-based product development company Symbio Group, Finnish software developer Flander and software solutions provider Ardites, also based in Finland, has been announced.
The agreement will create Symbio, which aims to become a global leader in next-generation outsourced product development and will provide software product engineering and co-creation services throughout the life cycle of a product.
Jacob Hsu, chief executive officer of Symbio, said the new firm was created to deliver innovation and expertise in response to the convergence of markets and technologies.
"Our merger adds significant scale and extensive combined expertise across technologies, geographies, and industries - it's a win-win for large enterprises that don't have the resources to support full-time development that convergence demands," he added.
Earlier in the year, Flander attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, while the Symbio Group has clients ranging from Nokia and Ericsson to Microsoft, Google and Volvo on its books.
