Product development services firm Mirantis and cloud computing expert Grid Dynamics have completed a merger.
The deal creates a provider of technology development services to the semiconductor, telecoms, retail and financial services industries, which will operate through two business units.
Emerging Technology Practice will offer consulting and development services for complex business solutions in grid, HPC and cloud computing.
Meanwhile, the firm's Technology Lifecycle Practice unit will offer customised staffing services for large-scale development, implementation and support stages of technology-driven services.
"The new company will be able to engage with clients at [a] much earlier phase of their technology creation curve and compete for the larger share of major technology creators' budgets," commented Mirantis founder Alex Freedland.
Last year Mirantis, which operates Russia-based offshore development centres, announced its geographic expansion by opening a new office in Kharkov, Ukraine, bringing its total number of offices in the area to four.
