A merger and consulting agreement has been executed between consulting firm Coastal Capital Acquisition Corp and housing and security software developer Helix DC.
The agreement is thought to mark the beginning of a long line of mergers and acquisitions from Coastal Capital as the firm targets private companies looking to become publicly-traded.
Jason Wilcox, president and chief executive officer of Helix DC, said the company is looking forward to expanding its company and business in the public arena.
"It has been a goal of Helix to gain access to the public market, further develop our core demographic and have our software unlock potential savings and security for our customer base while establishing a continuously growing environment for our shareholders," he commented.
Helix DC owns, markets and sells a group of niche education-related software products which can be utilized in various industries.
It was founded in February 2005 as an all-inclusive IT solutions provider and has worked with schools to supply enhanced project management and resource development software.
