Consona, a leader in customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning software and services, has closed its acquisition of the enterprise software-related assets of SupportSoft.
The all-cash transaction was valued at approximately $20 million (£12.3 million) and means SupportSoft's enterprise products are now offerings from Consona, under the Consona CRM division headed by Tom Millay.
"Today's acquisition is a huge win in terms of expanding the functionality of all our acquired product franchises and creates a tremendous amount of value for our customers," he commented.
The combined strength of the two firms will make it easy to begin integrating best practices and growing the business, Mr Millay continued.
Consona serves more than 4,500 customers worldwide in a variety of industries.
Headquartered in Indianapolis and with locations across America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, it is jointly owned by Battery Ventures and Thoma Cressey Bravo.
