Private equity investment firm LLR Partners and the contract management software provider I-many have announced an amendment to their definitive merger agreement to increase the purchase price.
The revised purchase price will now be approximately $0.52 (£0.32) per share in cash, representing a 14 per cent increase from the transaction originally announced on April 29th.
As a result, the transaction is now valued at approximately $49.45 million (£30.18 million), a figure which includes amounts that apply to the repayment of I-many's senior convertible notes and other transaction-related payments.
The amendment to the merger agreement has been approved by LLR Partners and unanimously by I-many's board of directors.
Earlier in the year I-many announced that it had signed three major software license and support agreements in the first quarter of 2009 with a combined value of $3 million (£1.8 million).
Two of the transactions were with Fortune 50 companies and both reached seven figures in total fees.
