The UK-based Internet Services Provider (ISP) Supanet has stated its intention to enter the acquisition trail.
Having built up a solid business across a range of technologies, the firm is now seeking further expansion through activity in the merger and acquisition sector.
Supanet remains tight-lipped as to who they may target but suggests that telecommunications and technologies firms are within their sight range.
Managing director at Supanet, Steve Smart, comments that many companies are "feeling the pressure" from the recession.
He said: "We are in the fortunate position of being able to make strategic acquisitions as we move to grow our current portfolio.
"We are open to discussions with all technology companies, with particular attention to small ISPs, voice solution providers and telephony resellers."
Supanet was founded as an ISP in 1998, going live by offering live internet access in March 1999.
The firm offers over 20 channels, including topics like news, sport and online games, as well as providing a business service for clients.
