Solix Technologies has signed up Oracle Financial Services Software in a global partner agreement.
As part of the link-up, Oracle is to offer an embedded application - Solix EMDS - as part of its FLEXCUBE package, assisting the automation of archive and purge processes.
Based in California, Solix provides data management software which helps firms to meet compliance obligations.
The EMDS simplifies the tiering and classification of data from a single archive policy console, according to Solix.
Commenting on the announcement Joseph John, executive vice-president of banking products at Oracle, states: "We are pleased that our relationship with Solix will enable us to offer archiving functionality to Oracle FLEXCUBE customers.
"This will assist them in meeting regulatory reporting requirements about how data is protected and managed throughout the entire lifecycle."
Oracle is a business software giant - it has 320,000 customers across 145 countries and boasts revenues of $22.4 billion (£15.3 billion).
