Patni - an IT and BPO services provider - and the electronics firm Hitachi are to link up in the promotion and implementation of JP1 in emerging markets outside Japan.
JP1 is a suite of products from Hitachi which centrally manage operations of complex enterprise systems.
Now Patni and Hitachi will link up to provide system configuration and support for JP1 for companies in developing regions such as India and the Middle East.
Patni is to build up a team of 100 technical staff to provide onsite support and it will also join Hitcahi in marketing the product.
Reacting to the tie-up Soichi Oyama, senior general manager of the Hitachi software division, comments: "I am glad that, with this collaboration in JP1 a new chapter in partnership will begin.
"By collaborating with Patni, which is highly reputed in providing IT services worldwide, I think the global clientele using JP1 will feel highly secure."
