Stockholders have voted in favour of a merger between Catalyst Semiconductor and ON Semiconductor Corps.
Approval was given to the acquisition of Catalyst Semiconductor in an agreement that will give the company's shareholders 0.706 shares of ON Semiconductor common stock for each share of catalyst common stock that they own.
The transaction is expected to close today (Friday October 10th).
Catalyst Semiconductor is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It deals in the design and marketing of mixed-signal, analogue and non-volatile memory products.
ON Semiconductor supplies energy efficient silicone solutions to sectors such as mobile phones, computer, automotive, communication, medical and industrial industries.
