Global telecommunications repair and logistics service provider Communications Test Design (CTDI) has announced the takeover of Phoenix Wireless.
It has had its offer for the wireless communications and electronics accessories firm accepted and said the acquisition is a strategic one based on financial, customer and operational synergies.
CTDI said this purchase will facilitate the expansion of the product and service offerings of Phoenix through the capabilities of CTDI, including its distribution and engineering expertise worldwide.
Dave Mausolf, chief executive officer of Phoenix Wireless, said: "I view the acquisition as a critical strategic event for Phoenix Wireless that will result in exceptional products and services for our current and future customers."
He added the company expects continued excellence in its product and services together with strong growth through its new parent company.
CTDI reported that it has strategically expanded globally since 1990 to meet the needs of its growing customer base and now has 38 strategic repair and logistics centres across the world.
