Market Force Information has made an undisclosed investment into Retail Eyes in order to acquire the UK customer experience improvement agency.
Retail Eyes, which provides software for a range of tasks such as mystery shopping and in-store auditing, described the move as an "exciting development" as it will allow it to venture into new markets.
This also means Market Force now has more than 100 clients in its portfolio.
Both companies provide similar customer intelligence solutions and the US-based enterprise will utilise Retail Eyes' Milton Keynes offices at its European headquarters.
Chief executive officer at Retail Eyes Tim Ogle said: "Market Force's experience and support will give us the financial and experiential resources needed to grow the business further, both here in the UK, as well as throughout Europe."
Karl Maier, Market Force chief executive officer, added that the decision will enable his firm to expand into new markets that have considerable growth potential.
